Couples today expect far more from intimate relationships than previous generations, so we need a new paradigm for loving and being loved. In this Loving Bravely Couples Retreat, couples deepen their connection by looking together at the challenges, paradoxes, and opportunities of modern love.
Through presentations, exercises, and discussions, romantic couples gain invaluable (and immediately applicable) tools and frameworks to love bravely. We explore:
- Why couples seem to have the same fights over and over
- How to better navigate competing demands of parenting, work, and extended family
- Why sexual intimacy is so difficult to maintain over time
- How to take care of our intimate relationship and keep from growing apart
This workshop is open to couples at any stage of relationship development. Couples of all sexual orientations, gender expressions, and cultural contexts are welcome. Clinicians learn how to bring tools of relational self-awareness to their clients in individual and couple therapy.
