It is possible to do something positive to help reverse climate change, while improving your well-being and developing a more sacred connection to the land. Now is the critical moment in time to build personal and community resilience, healthy soil, and good food for all.
This weekend, through discussion, contemplative practice, and plenty of hands-on experience, we gain skills and techniques to establish gardens and grow delicious food—from lawns and windowsills, to schools and urban lots—using low-cost local resources, with minimal maintenance and climate-resilient methods.
Guided by farmers and educators Ricky Baruc and Deb Habib, we practice several methods to create beautiful gardens and small farms that prepare us to take the lessons learned immediately into our lives and communities.
Those new to gardening return home with enough knowledge and skill to grow their own food. Experienced growers learn new techniques to enrich their current practices. We all gain ideas, methods, and inspiration to transform our gardening, communities, and lives.
ELIP participants are automatically enrolled in this program at no cost.
