Author Jeffrey J. Kripal discusses the idea of UFO encounters as spiritual experiences.

The public reception of the UFO phenomenon and alien contact has changed dramatically since December 2017, when the New York Times published a blockbuster story about a secret Pentagon program tasked to track UFO encounters.

But what exactly is the point of analyzing psychic and paranormal phenomena? How does it pertain to human potential? Should we be wary of the public mythologies that wrap around these military campaigns and carefully released videos? And, what is our role in bringing about contact, in actualizing this alien-human potential?

A new world is coming. Join two of the world’s most respected explorers of the unknown for a weekend of lecture, discussion, and wide-ranging theories about paranormal phenomena, alien contact, climate change, and what this exploration means for the future of humanity.
